Create an empty palette

Create an empty palette

  1. On the workspace or in the picture list, select an object.

  2. Open a workpane containing a color box or color list.

If you don't see the color box or color list, you may need to scroll down the workpane.

  3. Click the arrow to the right of the color box or color list.

  4. Click More Colors, and then click the Custom Palette tab.

  5. Under Create and edit custom palettes, click New.

  6. In the New Color Palette dialog box, type a name in the Palette name box.

  7. In the Palette size box, select the number of colors you want to add to your new palette.

Once you specify a number of colors, you canÆt change the number. If you think you will want to add colors to the palette after you create the initial set of color entries, select the next largest palette size.

  8. In the Dither by box, click the dithering option you want to use. Error Diffusion generally works best for photographs. Solid tends to work better than error diffusion dithering for clip art pictures that contain large areas of solid color.

  9. Click OK.
